7 Laundry Hacks You Need To Know

By: Lisa Eclesworth

Doing laundry is one of the most challenging and tedious tasks on earth. Doing laundry isn’t always as easy as it sounds. Laundry can be a hassle, from washing machine malfunctions to a stubborn stain! But it doesn’t have to be. Like most things in life, the answer isn’t complicated. If you can follow the seven simple steps in this article, your real-life has just taken a turn for the better.

1. Add vinegar in the water when washing machines are filled with laundry

It’s said that adding vinegar makes the water in your washing machine colder. As a result, you’ll need less detergent and produce less steam at the same time. Your clothes will come out cleaner than before without any damage to your clothing and without having to use more of anything besides water and vinegar.

2. Use baking soda

As a fabric softener for your sweaters, socks, and other garments, which tend to fade out over time. Like vinegar, it’s said to help the water in your washer stay colder longer. This can help avoid that dreaded whitening of the items you wear. The baking soda also helps to remove stains and eliminates mildew, odors, and color fading. It even makes your clothes softer by removing the chemicals that make them stiff.

3. Use ice cubes to soften clothes

If you are in a hurry or your clothing is extremely wrinkly, try placing your clothes in the Richard Jay dryer along with a few ice cubes. The ice cubes will help to soften and relax the clothing, making it easier to remove wrinkles.

4. Fasten drying by adding a dry towel to your dryer

If you are in a rush to get your clothes dry before work or school, then add a dry towel to the dryer. The heat from the dryer will be absorbed into the towel and warm up your clothing faster than it normally would by drying alone

5. Keep your socks paired

Keeping your socks paired during laundry helps create less confusion because it prevents the sock from getting lost in the laundry. You’ll also be able to tell what you wore before and what you’re washing based on the colors of your socks. Please keep all of your socks in a basket or on a shelf, and make sure that they are all in order by color.

6. Use different detergents for different clothes

If your clothes have stains that don’t come out easily, try using a different detergent for your washed laundry. Experiment with all of the various detergents you have on hand, and see which one is the most effective in removing the stains, keeping your clothes clean, and saving you time and money.

7. Treat spots with baking soda and water

If you know that you have a spot or stain in a particular item of clothing, try sprinkling some baking soda over the area and gently rubbing it away with your fingers making sure to rub the spot until it’s gone thoroughly. This is also an excellent way to remove deodorant stains from sweaters
