This is due to the fact that the game consists of many separate elements such as train cards, destination cards, train stations and pawns. It takes some time to figure everything out at first, but once you get the hang of it, the game is easy to play, even for children.
This also makes the explanation of the game a lot easier. So if you’re looking for a board game to play with the whole family, Ticket to ride is a great addition.
The European map is beautifully designed and the game is also full of unexpected plot twists. So it remains exciting until the last moment who will be the ultimate winner!
Finally, I must mention one more disadvantage. You can only play the game with a maximum of five people. This is fine for an average family, but the game is therefore not suitable for playing with large groups of friends.

If that were not the case, the fun is quickly gone and that is a shame.
