1 Is a spectrophotometer or fluorometer cuvette necessary?
In terms of the cuvette, this is by far the most important issue. Depending on your answer, the number of polished surfaces required will vary.
Spectrophotometers use cuvettes with two sides that are located close to one another. As a result, the light beam passes through the front window as well as out the rear window.
Fluorescence measurements seem to be made with cuvettes that have either 3 or 4 clear walls. We may now ask the following question.

What do I need to have?
The material determines how you may utilize a cuvette. It also affects pricing. Quartz is more costly than optical glass yet transmits more light. Here are our material and transmission ranges:

What lightpaths do I need?
Cuvette lightpaths vary. 10 mm lightpaths are popular. Every experiment may employ one of the 0.01 mm to 100 mm lightpaths.

Do I need a round cuvette or a rectangular one?
Cuvette sizes and shapes vary. Rectangular cuvettes with 10 mm lightpaths are typical. 90% of our clients chose a 10 mm cuvette or rectangular cell. Cylindrical cuvettes for machines are also available.

What kind of cover am I looking for?
Different types of cuvette covers exist. Use determines.
PTFE Cover: Cell cover. This isn’t a sealed cuvette for experimentation.
PTFE Stopper: Better seal than a normal cap. The PTFE cap enables you to measure without air, and you may shake or spin the cuvette to mix the contents.
Screw caps seal the best. Septum screw caps allow you to utilize this cuvette without oxygen or air.

What volume should I get?
Lightpath choice affects loudness. More volume, larger lightpath, larger cell. Cuvettes with 1 mm to 100 mm light pathways are available. These cells let users with a predefined lightpath modify their sample.

Do I need to attach anything to the cuvette or make any changes to it?
Some tests need a different cuvette. We offer cuvettes with graded quartz and pyrex seal tubes. Pyrex is the simplest cuvette glass to use.

Is z-dimension important for me?
The Z-Dimension is where the light beam enters the cuvette. Most cuvettes don’t care about ZD, but a sub-micro cell won’t operate without it. Z-Dimensions are 8.5 mm, 15 mm, or 20 mm.

What are matching cells?
Matching cells means matching two or more cuvettes. This ensures that the cuvettes’ findings are consistent.
Cuvettes are matched to within 2% of each other for repeatable precision.
